John Byrd is the EHS Director for the Hi-Tech Division at Hoffman Construction Company, where he provides strategic leadership for comprehensive safety program management across high-stakes, mission-critical, and semiconductor construction portfolios. He oversees a team of more than 100 EHS professionals and partners with executive leadership to drive proactive safety culture and organizational excellence.

With more than 20 years of experience, John has led safety strategy and culture development on complex, high-risk construction programs across the United States and internationally, including semiconductor fabrication facilities, hyperscale data centers, industrial projects, and multi-billion-dollar megaprojects.

Known for his hands-on leadership style and strong field presence, he is an experienced international speaker and recognized industry thought leader on mega-project safety, high-risk operations, and complex critical lift coordination. His expertise spans safety leadership, risk and crisis management, contractor coordination, SIF and HRA program development, and safety innovation through technology integration.
